super helpful for DIYers!

i finally got around to subscribing to ALLDATA DIY last week during their 20% off sale, mostly for the Diagnostic Trouble Codes and Firing Orders for my old truck. it's super easy to navigate on my laptop, though i wish the mobile site was a little smoother for quick checks in the garage. the info is really detailed and saved me a ton already.

Great value for the info

I was looking for info on my car's transmission. The Single Vehicle DIY Repair Subscription seemed like a good deal. It was worth it just for the Transmission Diagnostics and the Fluid Capacities. Saved me a trip to the shop, which would have cost way more. The price was fair for all the details I got.

So helpful, will buy again!

I bought the Multi-Vehicle Subscription during a seasonal sale and it's been a lifesaver for my family's cars! I finally fixed that pesky brake light on my truck using their Brake Repair Guides. The interactive wiring diagrams were a huge help. I definitely recommend this for anyone who likes to do their own repairs!

Good info, easy to use

I got the Single Vehicle DIY Repair Subscription for my old Honda. Needed to figure out a wiring issue. It was super easy to find the diagrams, and everything made sense. It felt like I was looking over a mechanic's shoulder.

Detailed repair info

I picked up a Single Vehicle DIY Repair Subscription for my older Ford truck. The ordering process was straightforward on their website; it took a few minutes to set up the account and link my vehicle. I specifically needed the Torque Specifications for my engine, and they were accurately listed, which is crucial. I also checked out the Component Locations and found them clear and well-labeled. The interface felt a little dated, but the information was solid. I even printed out some of the Suspension Specifications without any issues. It's a useful tool for serious DIYers.

Thinking of grabbing a subscription for my old F-150. Is it actually worth it or am I better off with a Haynes manual?

D Dana A. 2 months ago
totally worth it. I've used it for years on my Silverado. The wiring diagrams alone are a lifesaver, way better than Haynes.

It's legit. For anything beyond basic maintenance, you'll be glad you have the factory info. Haynes is fine for oil changes but for real repairs, alldata diy is much more detailed.

How long does a subscription last? Is it like a month or a year thing?

C Carly 2 months ago
It's a yearly thing for the basic subscription, afaik. You pay once and it's good for a year.

C Colin 2 months ago
Yep, it's typically for a year. You can renew it after that. They also send out renewal coupons sometimes, so watch your email.

Hey, I've got two cars I need info for. Do they offer a discount if I subscribe for both?

D Dana 2 months ago
Yeah, they usually do. I think I got a pretty good deal when I added my second vehicle last year.

They definitely have multi-car discounts. When you go to checkout, there should be an option or it'll apply automatically if you select multiple subscriptions. Keep an eye out for promo codes too, sometimes you can stack them.

Anyone know if ALLDATA DIY has a Black Friday sale? Need to fix my transmission soon.

B Ben 1 month ago
They often do! I've seen them run sales around Black Friday and Cyber Monday for sure.

Yeah, Black Friday is a pretty common time for them to have discounts. Also check around Tax Refund Season, sometimes they have deals then too. Might be worth waiting a bit if you can.
